Fresh off a completely sold-out West Coast winter tour and a historic 3,400th performance milestone, Dark Star Orchestra (DSO) today announced their 2026 Spring Tour. Spanning ten dates across Texas, Louisiana, and the Carolinas, the tour begins May 7 in San Antonio and concludes at the 13th annual Dark Star Jubilee, the band’s namesake festival held at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio.
This tour follows a momentous winter season for the band. In February, DSO celebrated their 3,400th show—surpassing the Grateful Dead’s own 30-year performance count by more than a thousand shows. The band also recently made headlines with a $10,000 donation to the Rex Foundation in honor of the late Bob Weir, reinforcing their commitment to the community and the philanthropic spirit Weir helped establish over four decades ago.
The upcoming run includes stops at legendary venues the ACL Live at the Moody Theater in Austin, as well as scenic outdoor amphitheaters in North Carolina and Virginia. Fans can expect the signature DSO experience: meticulous recreations of historic Grateful Dead setlists, combined with the band’s world-class improvisational prowess.
