Irish singer-songwriter Darren Flynn continues to carve out his space in the Americana and roots world with the upcoming release of his new single, “I Ain’t Gonna Worry About It,” arriving April 24, 2026. Blending country blues fingerpicking with a relaxed, conversational vocal style, Flynn’s sound leans into simplicity, storytelling, and lived-in emotion.
The new track follows earlier releases “Mountain Whiskey” and “Big Blue Moon,” both of which found support across Irish radio including RTÉ Radio 1 and Radio Nova, while also reaching audiences abroad through U.S. bluegrass programming. Flynn has also appeared on national Irish television and performed at festivals including Electric Picnic and Kilkenny Roots Festival.
Produced by Anthony Gibney (Kíla, Josh Ritter, Mundy), “I Ain’t Gonna Worry About It” captures a stripped-back, intimate feel, built around a reflective songwriting approach that prioritizes honesty over polish. Written during a period of personal recovery, the song centers on letting go of stress and reconnecting with a slower, more grounded way of living.
“A couple of years back I got really sick and had to give up the relentless lifestyle I’d had for a good while,” Flynn shares. “This was pretty much the first song I started writing when I was convalescing at home, sat in my kitchen, just picking my guitar.”
With a series of singles planned throughout 2026, Flynn continues to build momentum through a steady stream of releases rooted in classic songwriting traditions, while bringing a distinctly personal voice to the modern Americana landscape.
“I Ain’t Gonna Worry About It” will be available on all streaming platforms April 24.
