RiversEdge Amphitheater in Hamilton, Ohio will host David Shaw's “Big River Get Down Presented by Miller Lite” on Friday, September 6 and Saturday, September 7. As a native of Hamilton, Ohio, the Big River Get Down is a very special event for David Shaw, the charismatic frontman of chart-topping rock band The Revivalists. The festival, which has morphed into a national destination for The Revivalists’ fans across the country, is a way for Shaw to give something back to a community that has given so much. This year marks the fifth anniversary of Big River Get Down and the eighth consecutive year The Revivalists will perform at RiversEdge.

In 2017, Hamilton’s City Council adopted a law honorarily changing the name of the city to “JAM!LTON” and appointing David Shaw as Mayor of JAM!LTON on an annual basis during Big River Get Down. On Friday, September 6th, Shaw will host “An Evening with David Shaw,” an intimate solo acoustic performance at the Fitton Center for Creative Arts available as part of the JAM!LTON VIP Experience package. On Saturday, September 7th, The Big River Get Down at RiversEdge Amphitheater will feature a headlining performance by The Revivalists with additional performances by The War And Treaty, Brent Cobb, Southern Avenue, Neal Francis, and Chris Gelbuda.

Tickets for “An Evening with David Shaw” are available only as part of the JAM!LTON VIP Experience. A limited number of David Shaw meet and greet tickets are also available with the JAM!LTON VIP Experience. General admission tickets for David Shaw’s Big River Get Down at RiversEdge Amphitheater are $38 and available now. For all ticketing details, please visit bigrivergetdown.com.

For Shaw, hosting Big River Get Down in his hometown is about more than just the music; it’s an effort to make the City of Hamilton an even better place to live, work, and play. “Being able to come back to my hometown and host an event like this is something I’ve always dreamed of doing since I started playing music,” shares Shaw. “It’s exciting to see people from all over the country coming to my hometown to share this experience with us. The Big River Get Down is also a great way for me to give something back to a community that has given me so much. Hamilton has made great strides over the past several years, and I’m thrilled this event can lend a hand in the City’s ongoing renaissance.” To help David accomplish this mission, all of the proceeds from the festival will be donated to the City of Hamilton's 4th of July fireworks and RiversEdge Concert Series. Since its inception in 2015, David Shaw’s Big River Get Down has donated more than $80,000 to these events and has helped attract other talented musicians to perform free concerts at RiversEdge Amphitheater.
