The music of the Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic and Jerry Garcia Band comes together at Boulder’s Fox Theatre on Thursday, November 19, 2026, when Dead Panic makes its first appearance at the venue alongside Denver’s Breadbox. Doors open at 7 p.m., with Dead Panic taking the stage at 8 p.m. and Breadbox following at 9:30 p.m.
Based in Boulder County, Dead Panic combines the Grateful Dead’s improvisational approach with the Southern-fried grit of Widespread Panic. Formed in November 2025, the band has quickly brought listeners from both communities together around two expansive catalogs built for exploration. The Fox debut arrives nearly a year into the group’s run, giving hometown fans a chance to hear that combination in one of Boulder’s favorite rooms.
Breadbox approaches the Jerry Garcia Band catalog with a similar commitment to making each performance its own. Founded in Denver in 2021 and featuring musicians from across Colorado’s jam scene, the group emphasizes rich vocal harmonies, exploratory jams and setlists that span different eras of JGB.
Alongside familiar material, Breadbox makes room for songs its members believe Garcia would have enjoyed, using the repertoire as a starting point for new arrangements and musical detours. The band has performed at venues throughout Colorado, including Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom, Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox, The Old Town Pub and the Fox Theatre.
For Front Range fans whose listening habits move easily between Garcia’s songbook, the Dead’s open-ended jams and Panic’s blues-driven rock, November 19 brings all three traditions under one roof.
