Memphis-based roots psychedelic outfit Delta Stardust is set to release their second full-length album, Climb Mystic Mountain, on February 13, 2026 via Robot Distro. Building on the adventurous spirit of their debut, the new record finds the band stretching further into their shape-shifting sound while staying firmly grounded in Delta soil.
Produced and engineered by John Kilgore and co-produced by Michael Graber, Climb Mystic Mountain is a genre-hopping journey that blends acoustic, electric, and digital instrumentation with rich harmony vocals. The result is an album that feels unpredictable by design, pulling listeners through a series of musical left turns that somehow always land exactly where they should.
The record moves effortlessly from the heady drift of “Winding Our Way” to the demonic jug-band swagger of “New Mexico Man,” establishing an atmosphere of constant surprise. “It’s Okay” shifts gears again, settling into a heartfelt pop moment that feels both relaxed and deeply sincere.
Psychedelic polka-from-hell arrives on the album’s title track, “Mystic Mountain,” where gypsy guitar and fiddle intertwine with tuba, mellotron, and synth—imagine a duet between Lawrence Welk and Jim Morrison after crossing through a wormhole. Elsewhere, the moody “Dragonfly” and the anthemic “Too High to Reply,” both previously released as singles, add depth and momentum to the album’s winding path.
The remaining tracks—“T.V. God,” “Top of the Hill,” “Whatchu Smokin’,” and “Flowers & Herbs”—leave no doubt about two things: Delta Stardust parties on another level, and no matter how many dimensions they pass through, they can’t escape their Mississippi Delta roots.
