Multi-Platinum entertainer Dierks Bentley unveiled his headlining Off the Map Tour this weekend with stops in Rogers, Arkansas, and Kansas City, Missouri.
Following a run of spring stadium dates with Luke Combs, the new tour is named after “one of the best of his country music career” (Whiskey Riff) from his 11th studio album, Broken Branches, and embodies the spirit of the project—celebrating individuality, authenticity and the unconventional paths that shape country music.
Throughout the show, Bentley leans into the qualities that have continued to resonate with fans across genres, from his “down-to-earth approachability, goodtime vibes and unwavering sense of humor” to his “honeyed crackling vocals and fierce love for bluegrass virtuosity” (The Bluegrass Situation).
Up-and-comer Owen Riegling opened both nights, followed by legendary bluegrass group Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder. Fans then welcomed Bentley to the stage with roaring applause as he opened with “Burning Man.”
The energy level stayed high as he played hit after hit, including “What Was I Thinkin’,” “5-1-5-0,” “I Hold On” and fan favorite “Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go),” which flowed seamlessly into a cover of Alabama’s “Mountain Music.”
Bentley later performed the tour’s namesake track, “Off the Map,” before welcoming Skaggs back to the stage for a duet of his No. 1 hit “Highway 40 Blues.”
Later in the show, Bentley surprised fans with an impromptu acoustic medley that reached deep into his catalog, revisiting favorites including “Trying to Stop Your Leaving,” “Settle for a Slowdown,” “Draw Me a Map,” “Señor (Tales of Yankee Power),” “Say You Do” and “Every Mile a Memory,” creating one of the night’s most intimate and nostalgic moments.
With enthusiastic crowds and collaborations already defining the opening weekend, the Off the Map Tour picks back up next weekend out West with stops scheduled in Bonner, Montana, on June 25; Airway Heights, Washington, on June 26; and Woodinville, Washington, on June 27, with a combination of Kaitlin Butts, Mountain Grass Unit and Cole Goodwin supporting.
After more than 20 years on country’s family tree, Bentley’s newest album, Broken Branches, follows eight No. 1 albums, 22 No. 1 songs and more than 9.5 billion global streams, plus 15 Grammy nominations and membership in the historic Grand Ole Opry.
Bentley continues to chart his own course both onstage and off. As an entrepreneur, he has four locations of the gastropub and live music venue Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, a Flag & Anthem lifestyle collection called Desert Son and, most recently, ROW 94, a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey crafted with only “three ingredients and the truth” at Kentucky’s Green River Distilling Co.
