The 1970s-themed celebration at The Cutting Room will unite the jam community in support of the Songs of Love Foundation while honoring Connor McEvoy and the late Scott Nadboy.
NEW YORK, NY — Dogs in a Pile will headline Dog Pound Disco, the Songs of Love Foundation’s 11th Annual Benefit Concert, on Thursday, September 24, 2026, at The Cutting Room in New York City.
The one-night-only concert will bring together live music, dancing, community, and philanthropy while raising funds to create free, personalized Songs of Love for children, teens, and seniors facing serious illness and other life challenges.
One of the fastest-rising bands in the jam scene, Dogs in a Pile has built a devoted national following through its adventurous improvisation, energetic performances, and extensive touring schedule. Dog Pound Disco will give fans an opportunity to experience the band in an intimate New York City venue while supporting a mission rooted in the healing and connecting power of music.
The evening will honor Connor McEvoy, creator of Kicking It With Connor, whose infectious optimism and love of live music have inspired thousands. A familiar face on the rail at concerts across the country, Connor embodies the joy, friendship, and sense of belonging that make the live music community so meaningful.
The event will also honor the memory of Scott Nadboy, a longtime supporter of the Songs of Love Foundation and a dedicated Dogs in a Pile fan. Scott’s generosity, love of music, and commitment to the people and causes he cared about left a lasting impression on the Songs of Love community. His family has also been deeply connected to the foundation and its work.
By honoring Connor and remembering Scott, Dog Pound Disco will celebrate two people whose lives reflect the evening’s central themes: music, connection, generosity, and community.
Guests are encouraged to dress in their favorite 1970s-inspired disco attire and come ready for an exceptional night of live music, dancing, celebration, and purpose.
For more than 30 years, the Songs of Love Foundation has created nearly 50,000 personalized original songs, each written for one individual. Every song includes the recipient’s name, favorite people, pets, interests, and meaningful memories, creating a one-of-a-kind musical gift. Songs are produced in any musical style or language and are provided completely free of charge to recipients and their families.
“Every personalized song reminds someone that they are seen, loved, and never alone,” said John Beltzer, founder and president of the Songs of Love Foundation. “Dog Pound Disco brings people together through the power of music so that we can create many more of those meaningful moments for individuals and families who need them most.”
General Admission Dog Pound Passes include admission to the concert. A limited number of premium Alpha Dog Passes provide an exclusive VIP experience featuring early venue access, a private reception, complimentary food, a two-hour open bar, an intimate private performance, a meet-and-greet with Dogs in a Pile, and a commemorative signed event poster.
VIP doors open at 5 p.m. General Admission doors open at 6:30 p.m., with the Songs of Love presentation and concert beginning later that evening.
Every ticket purchased directly supports the creation of future personalized Songs of Love. With limited capacity at The Cutting Room, organizers expect the event to sell out.
