Donna Jean Godchaux Announces 3 shows in January 2012

Donna Jean Godchaux will be making three special appearances in the Northeast in January 2012. Two of those will be with her band, The Donna Jean Godchaux Band with Jeff Mattson. Jeff Mattson is of course the lead guitarist in Dark Star Orchestra since the departure of John Kadlecik who has joined with Donna’s former Grateful Dead bandmates, Bob Weir and Phil Lesh.On Wednesday January 25th, The Donna Jean Godchaux Band with Jeff Mattson will play the Iridium in NYC. In 2008 Jeff had gone there to see and meet the legend Les Paul.This is an ongoing effort by the Iridium to expand their reach in genre and include many guitarists who all pay homage to the great Les Paul.The Donna Jean Godchaux band is very proud to make this appearance at the Iridium.On Thursday the 26th of January 2012, The Donna Jean Godchaux Band will return to the River Street Jazz Café in Pine Plains, PA.The band has played there many times to sell out crowds and looks forward to their return to the venue.On Saturday 28th of January 2012, Donna Jean Godchaux will make a solo appearance as a special guest to sing with Walt B and Friends at the Mill Street Brews in Southbridge, MA. Donna will be joined by former Grateful Dead band member, Tom Constanten in addition to her good friend Mark Karan of Bob Weir and Ratdog, who played as a special guest last summer in the Donna Jean Godchaux Band and also Kenny Brooks of Bob Weir and Ratdog.
