Half a century into their storied career, FOREIGNER is still pushing forward—and in 2026, the legendary rock band is celebrating its 50th anniversary with a sweeping global tour, new music-driven projects, and a series of milestone moments that reaffirm their place among rock’s most enduring forces.
New York, NY – March 24, 2026 — Rock legends FOREIGNER are celebrating their 50th anniversary with an action-packed year of global performances, special projects, and historic milestones. With more than 80 million albums sold worldwide and a catalog of era-defining hits that have dominated rock radio for decades, the band is marking the occasion with an expansive international touring schedule and a series of unique events throughout 2026 and beyond.
Today, the band announces the addition of new tour dates in Albuquerque, El Paso, Scottsdale, Reno, and more, expanding an already massive touring schedule that includes more than 90 shows this year, with numerous sold-out concerts across Europe. The celebration will continue into 2027, when the band marks the 50th anniversary of the March 8, 1977 release of its iconic self-titled debut album, Foreigner.
In April, the band’s legacy expands to the stage with Feels Like The First Time – The Foreigner Musical, a groundbreaking collaboration between FOREIGNER, The Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, and LIU’s Post Theatre Company. Directed by Broadway star Adam Pascal and inspired by the band’s legendary catalog, this electrifying new production is set in 1985 and follows an ordinary suburban family whose lives are turned upside down when they win an extraordinary MTV sweepstakes—a weekend visit from a rock icon culminating in a private backyard concert.
The musical will premiere at The Little Theatre on LIU’s Brookville campus, running eleven performances from Friday, April 17 through Sunday, April 26, 2026. Tickets are available now at TillesCenter.org/FLTFT.
Throughout 2026, audiences will experience FOREIGNER in a variety of unique and unforgettable formats. The year began with an intimate acoustic run through Colorado’s premier ski resorts, followed by a powerful orchestral tour that launched with a March residency at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and culminates with a special performance with the San Diego Symphony.
Founding member Mick Jones reflects on the milestone: “When I started FOREIGNER in 1976, I never could have imagined that these songs would carry us through fifty years and still resonate with audiences around the world. This anniversary year is a celebration not just of the music, but of the fans who have been with us every step of the way.”
In April, FOREIGNER heads to Florida with special guest original vocalist Lou Gramm for “FOREIGNER 4 Deluxe,” performing the legendary album 4 in its entirety alongside many of the band’s Top 10 smash hits.
The 50th Anniversary Tour continues in June with an extensive 26-date European run, including sold-out shows across Germany, the UK, Switzerland, and Scandinavia. Then, on July 23, FOREIGNER joins forces with rock & roll legends Lynyrd Skynyrd for the highly anticipated “Double Trouble Double Vision” co-headline tour, bringing a powerhouse night of classic rock to amphitheaters across the United States.
Adding to the excitement, FOREIGNER delivered a historic performance on Ellis Island in 2025 for the upcoming concert and documentary film In The Eye of The Storm, set for release in July 2026. Filmed in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty, the intimate, cinematic concert featured original lead singer Lou Gramm and special surprise guests, capturing a once-in-a-lifetime moment in the band’s extraordinary history.
With more Top 10 hits than Journey, and as many as Fleetwood Mac, FOREIGNER features strongly in every category in Billboard’s “Greatest of All Time” listing. At times, the band’s weekly catalog sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Def Leppard, Van Halen, Aerosmith, and many of their classic rock peers (Source: Nielsen SoundScan). With 10 multi-platinum albums and 16 Top 30 hits, FOREIGNER remains one of the most popular rock acts in the world, with total album sales exceeding 80 million.
Responsible for some of rock and roll’s most enduring anthems—including “Juke Box Hero,” “Cold As Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” “Feels Like The First Time,” “Urgent,” “Head Games,” “Say You Will,” “Dirty White Boy,” “Long, Long Way From Home,” and the worldwide #1 hit “I Want To Know What Love Is”—FOREIGNER continues to dominate airwaves nearly 50 years into their career, with streaming numbers approaching 20 million per week.
FOREIGNER’s current lineup features Luis Carlos Maldonado (lead vocals/guitar), Jeff Pilson (bass), Michael Bluestein (keyboards), Bruce Watson (guitar), Chris Frazier (drums), and John Roth (guitar).
