Bluegrass mainstay Gary Brewer is back with his brand-new single, “I’m Just Ramblin’,” available now on all digital and streaming platforms HERE. Marking his first release with Pinecastle Records, the track finds Brewer leaning into a reflective groove that captures the spirit of a life spent on the road. Rooted in tradition yet deeply personal, “I’m Just Ramblin’” offers an honest look at the journey of an artist who continues to follow the music wherever it leads.
“My new song, ‘I’m Just Ramblin’’ pays homage to the early sounds that shaped Bluegrass as we know it today,” says Brewer. “It reflects who I am, what I’ve seen, and what I’m still doing. I’ve been ramblin’ for a long time, so I’ll keep ramblin’.”
Solely penned by Brewer, “I’m Just Ramblin’” serves as both a personal statement and a nod to the genre’s roots. Written while reflecting on his career and the road ahead, the song captures themes of perseverance, identity and the ever-present pull of the highway. The single is the lead release from Brewer’s forthcoming full-length album, currently in the works, and will mark his first Bluegrass project since his 2020 release, 40th Anniversary Celebration, which spent an impressive 16 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Bluegrass Albums Chart.
Hailing from Louisville, Kentucky, Gary Brewer & The Kentucky Ramblers have built a reputation as one of Bluegrass music’s most enduring and authentic acts. Founded in 1980, the group has evolved into a family-driven powerhouse, now featuring Brewer’s sons, Wayne Brewer and Mason Brewer, continuing the legacy on stage. Known for their signature “Brewgrass” sound, the band blends tradition with originality, anchored by Brewer’s one-of-a-kind guitar work. In 2023, he showcased that musicianship and world-class vocals on his acclaimed instrumental project, House of Axes, further cementing his status as a guitarist’s guitarist. Fans can expect more of that signature sound on the upcoming album, with honest storytelling, strong musicianship, and deep roots.
