The Gil Evans Orchestra, led by Miles Evans, will celebrate the music and legacy of Miles Davis with a special performance at The Cutting Room in New York City on Friday, June 19, 2026.
The concert, marking what would have been Miles Davis’ 100th birthday, will bring together an extraordinary lineup of acclaimed musicians to honor the groundbreaking work of Davis and legendary composer and arranger Gil Evans.
The Gil Evans Orchestra will feature Randy Brecker, Adam Rogers, Mark Egan, Matt Garrison, Conrad Herwig, Gil Goldstein, Oz Noy, Mino Cinelu and more, led by Miles Evans.
The collaboration between Miles Davis and Gil Evans produced some of the most influential recordings in jazz history, including Miles Ahead, Porgy and Bess and Sketches of Spain. Their partnership expanded the possibilities of jazz orchestration, blending Davis’ unmistakable trumpet voice with Evans’ richly textured and forward-looking arrangements.
The June 19 performance offers audiences an opportunity to hear that music brought to life by musicians with deep ties to jazz history and the Gil Evans Orchestra tradition.

General admission tickets are $38.14. The show is open to guests ages 21 and older.
