Goose share new song, “Torero,” from their immersive sixth studio album, BIG MODERN!. The new album arrives via No Coincidence Records on Friday, June 12. Pre-orders/pre-saves are available now.

“Torero” begins with a synthetic drone, accented by reverberating drums that rise like heat waves off the desert highway pavement. A pulsing bassline and hi-hat propel the track forward, accented by a muted, menacing guitar. From the outset, the song radiates with an adrenaline-fueled nostalgia — a “Danger Zone” for the 21st century. As the track builds, singer-guitarist Rick Mitarotonda’s harmonic guitar riffs dance across a razor’s edge while keyboardist Peter Anspach’s synths swell, all before breaking the song open into a cathartic chorus. “Torero” is lush, layered, and evocative; its uneasy energy builds patiently before erupting into a howling outro solo.

“Torero” follows the release of BIG MODERN!’s rapturous first single, “Good2B,” which Rolling Stone hailed as “a vintage Goose gem.” The song, despite its intoxicating lightness, is laced with an anxious undercurrent, and was released after an array of cryptic teases from the band, including a hilarious video posted to social media starring Emmy Award- nominated actor Jake Lacy (The White Lotus, The Office, Girls), who then accompanied the band as they sat courtside at the New York Knicks vs. Chicago Bulls game at NYC’s Madison Square Garden. Lacy sat between the four members of Goose, each of whom wore bright yellow hoodies spelling out “FACE” – a key lyrical component of their fan favorite song, “Big Modern!” The teaser video and MSG appearance capped off two weeks of speculation inspired by guerrilla marketing in major US cities featuring the words “BIG MODERN!” along with a BIGMODERN.com website displaying Morse code for mysterious phrases and interactive messaging based on Goose fans’ thoughts across social media.

BIG MODERN! Is a fully immersive world of sound that ingeniously captures what it feels like to move through today’s overstimulated, hyperconnected society. Upon album announcement, Mitarotonda spoke to Rolling Stone about the band’s intentions behind it, saying: "As I see it, all these ideas we’ve been playing with are an absurdist reflection of the confusion of existing in today’s world. Over-stated guerrilla marketing campaign with zero context or direct connection to anything, video of a five-minute rant from an unhinged executive, showing up at an NBA game in ridiculous sweatsuits…The album is a dispatch from interesting times, without judgment or superiority. We’re all in it the same – the exhilarating, disorienting experience of constantly being so ‘connected’. The overstimulating, high-resolution world of content streaming directly into your brain, in real time, all the time. Synthetic, prepackaged human emotion on demand for your entertainment. The nightly doomscroll bliss. The relentless worship of the projection of an image of self to the world. Identity as a brand. Your FACE… on your FACE. Somehow, more becomes less. Something is lost, but we’re not totally sure what it is. It’s awesome, and it’s terrifying.”

BIG MODERN! sees Goose confronting the relentless stimuli and accelerated absurdity of our present-day culture by meeting it head-on with their own sprawling versatility and creative range. Built on the back of the band’s vaunted improvisational prowess, the album highlights their ongoing musical evolution through 15 future-facing tracks that weave effortlessly through heartland rock piano ballads, accented orchestral jazz interludes, and high-octane synth rock.

Goose beckon listeners with high-energy pop grooves and searing guitar riffs, their genre-bending orchestration moving fleet-footedly between driving distortion and gorgeous choral harmonies. BIG MODERN! is everything, all at once – optimized, amplified, and specified. A dopamine-flooded world shaped by constant reward and distraction. An unsustainable, electrified menagerie of information and entertainment, promise and peril. You know it feels hollow, chase it anyway, and slowly start questioning what parts of you are actually yours. BIG MODERN! chronicles that chase, staring through the funhouse mirror. The result is Goose’s most spacious and deeply considered collection thus far, an all-encompassing musical experience that pushes their signature wit, musical ingenuity, and inimitable vision to the next level and beyond.

Goose has been introducing fans to BIG MODERN! on an epic 2026 tour schedule that kicked off in March with a headline performance for more than 25,000 fans at Athens, GA’s Jam in the Streets festival. The band then resumed in early April with shows including two-night stands at Fort Lauderdale, FL’s War Memorial Auditorium, St. Augustine, FL’s St. Augustine Amphitheatre, and New Orleans, LA’s Saenger Theatre, as well as a special return to Austin, TX’s Moody Center following 2024’s sold-out New Year’s Eve shows there.

This week, Goose will head south of the border for the second edition of Viva El Gonzo, their destination festival experience set for May 7-9 in San José del Cabo, Mexico. Anchored by three consecutive nights of performances by Goose, the festival will feature sets from My Morning Jacket, Cory Wong, LP Giobbi, Jim James (Acoustic), Leisure, The Disco Biscuits, The California Honeydrops, and more. Goose will deliver two sets each night, setting the stage for a weekend full of unforgettable musical discovery. Complete details, tickets, and travel packages are available exclusively at vivaelgonzo.com.

Goose will then cross the Atlantic for a much-anticipated headline tour of Europe and the United Kingdom, kicking off with a two-night stand at London’s Electric Brixton on May 22-23, 2026. Highlights include a two-night stand at Amsterdam, NL’s Melkweg (May 27-28), a headline show at Paris, FR’s historic Élysée-Montmartre (June 1), and a top-billed festival performance at Aarhus, DK’s NorthSide 2026 (June 5).

Goose’s annual summer headline tour will follow, featuring some of the most ambitious routing of their career thus far, reinforcing the band’s steady ascent into premier venues nationwide. 2026 Summer Tour dates begin June 13 at Toronto, ON’s RBC Amphitheatre and then continue through late August. Highlights include a two-night return to New York City’s Madison Square Garden (June 19-20), along with two-night stands at Virginia Beach, VA’s The Dome (June 15-16), Charleston, SC’s Firefly Distillery (June 23-24), Raleigh, NC’s Red Hat Amphitheater (June 26-27), Boston, MA’s sold-out Leader Bank Pavilion (June 30-July 1), Saratoga Springs, NY’s SPAC (July 3-4), Bend, OR’s Hayden Homes Amphitheater (August 21-22), and Morrison, CO’s sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheatre (August 27-28), as well as one-night-only shows at such famed venues as Columbia, MD’s Merriweather Post Pavilion (June 28) and Los Angeles, CA’s The Greek Theatre (August 14). (July 4), Greensky Bluegrass (August 19-21), and Buffalo Traffic Jam (August 22).
