Jam For Cam, a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to melanoma awareness, and one of the fastest growing college town music festivals in the country, announces the official artist lineup for their annual event, Jam In The Streets. The event returns to Washington Street in Downtown Athens, GA, for its seventh edition on Saturday, March 28, 2026. It’s anticipated to be one of the largest in-street music events in the Classic City since Widespread Panic’s album release party in 1998.

Founded in 2018 in honor of Cameron Fearon, an Atlanta native and University of Georgia student who passed away from melanoma at 19 years old, Jam For Cam brings together community, music, and philanthropy to fight one of the fastest-growing cancers among young adults. The 2025 event drew over 15,000 attendees and raised $520,000 for various charities, including the Melanoma Research Foundation and Camp Carolina.

The 2026 festival will feature an array of entertainment, including world-touring artists, local college bands, vendors, food partners, and interactive community activations. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to support Jam For Cam’s mission: leveraging the power of music to bring community together and fight melanoma through awareness, education, prevention, and charitable support for research.

WHY MELANOMA AWARENESS IS CRITICAL:

Melanoma remains one of the fastest-rising cancers among people ages 15–30. Early detection rates can directly impact survival rates, yet awareness among young adults remains critically low. Jam For Cam has a two pronged approach as an organization to ensure we continue to make an impact by driving awareness for melanoma to educate on early detection, preventative efforts and locations to get your skin checked along with raising money for both Melanoma and Cancer Research Organizations that are on the front lines of developing potential cures and new research.

ABOUT GOOSE:

Goose is an American rock band known for its genre-blending sound, improvisational live performances, and dedicated fan base. The band is Rick Mitarotonda (vocals, guitar), Peter Anspach (vocals, keys, guitar), Trevor Weekz (bass), and Cotter Ellis (vocals, drums). Their music — a deft union of indie-rock hooks, sprawling improvisation, and driving rhythm — has propelled them from performing in Connecticut basements to headlining some of the most revered stages in the country. Known for their strong DIY ethos, Goose has grown organically through relentless touring and utilizing platforms like YouTube, Bandcamp, and nugs.net to share live performances and connect with fans.

This summer saw the release of Goose’s fifth studio album, Chain Yer Dragon. The album arrived just four months after Everything Must Go, their first release since 2022’s critically acclaimed Dripfield, which earned them #2 on Billboard’s “Top New Artist Albums” chart as well as praise from Rolling Stone, who called it “both sweet headphone ear candy and the foundation for a perfect live peak.” In contrast to its predecessor, Everything Must Go drew from the feel of Goose’s live performances and featured songs written throughout their recent years of growth, including re-imagined live staples and songs that captured their evolving, dynamic sound. The album’s first single, “Give It Time,” went to #6 on the AAA Radio charts. Goose is the only band to have two songs (“Give It Time” and “Your Direction”) on these charts at the same time.

Since their earliest days, recording 2016’s Moon Cabin in a barn in northern New Hampshire, Goose has been developing their unique approach to writing and improvising, achieving a rare balance between thoughtfully crafted songs, tight musicianship, and emotional honesty. Goose has sold out many venues across the United States, including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Forest Hills Stadium, and performed on the likes of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, CBS Saturday Morning, and played their share of iconic music fests, including Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, Austin City Limits Music Festival, and many more. Through their commitment to forward momentum, Goose continues to remind us that music isn’t simply played — it’s felt, lived, and shared.
