Grateful First Fridays on Haight Street is a monthly celebration dedicated to keeping the music and spirit of the Grateful Dead alive and dancing in the heart of Haight-Ashbury. By bridging the gap between legendary local talent and the national touring Dead scene, the series celebrates the improvisational spirit and inclusive ethos that started right here on these streets. The mission is to provide a home for the ever-evolving Deadhead community—where the music never stops and the Dead’s legacy is carried forward by a new generation of musicians and fans alike.
