Gregory Alan Isakov Announces First Hollywood Bowl Headline Show with Orchestra (Sept. 20, 2026)

Some artists build their biggest nights slowly—song by song, room by room—until a moment arrives that feels less like a booking and more like a statement. This fall, Gregory Alan Isakov will take that step in a major way with his first-ever headline performance at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl, backed by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and joined by special guest José González on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

Tickets for the performance go on sale Tuesday, May 5 at 10:00am PST. Full details and updates are available via gregoryalanisakov.com/tour.

The announcement follows a run of major orchestral milestones for Gregory Alan Isakov, including two sold-out shows last month at New York’s Radio City Music Hall with the Colorado Symphony, plus the completion of a three-week solo acoustic tour. He’s also set for two sold-out Labor Day weekend performances at Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre with the Colorado Symphony, a special summer show at Wolf Trap (Vienna, VA) with the National Symphony Orchestra, and a headlining slot at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival this June, with more dates expected to be announced soon.

Born in Johannesburg, South Africa and raised in Philadelphia, Isakov now calls Colorado home. When he isn’t on the road, he spends much of his time writing and recording in his barn studio, while also running Starling Farm in Boulder County—providing produce to CSA members, local restaurants, and Community Food Share (a Boulder County food bank).

Celebrated as one of today’s most compelling and poetic singer-songwriters, Isakov has released seven studio albums to date, including 2023’s Appaloosa Bones, which drew high praise from critics for its quietly towering songwriting. Beloved by a devoted community of fans and critics alike, he has surpassed 1 billion streams and has collaborated on recently released songs with Noah Kahan, Nathaniel Rateliff, Shovels & Rope, and Jeremiah Fraites of The Lumineers.

Later this year, Gregory Alan Isakov brings that same blend of hush and grandeur to the Hollywood Bowl—with José González and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra elevating an already luminous catalog into a true one-night-only event.
