Hinterland Music Festival Announces 1-Day Tickets for 2026 Festival

HINTERLAND MUSIC FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES 1-DAY FESTIVAL TICKETS ON SALE THIS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 6 AT 10 AM CT

Hinterland Music Festival is gearing up for an unforgettable weekend this summer. The 11th annual event will take place Thursday, July 30, through Sunday, August 2, in St. Charles, Iowa, just 30 minutes south of Des Moines. Over the last decade, Hinterland has become known for bringing top-tier headliners and rising artists alike to the heart of the Midwest.

For the past ten years, Hinterland has established a reputation for attracting both elite headlining acts and emerging artists to the Midwestern United States. This year, the festival has received a nomination for the prestigious Pollstar Awards in the Music Festival of the Year category.

The 2026 lineup features KATSEYE, Lorde, Mumford & Sons, Kali Uchis, beabadoobee, Jessie Murph, Young Miko, Santigold, MUNA, and more.

In addition to those artists already announced, Oklou and Wisp have been added to the Hinterland lineup. Oklou is a French singer, producer, and DJ who writes dreamy, futuristic pop songs influenced by experimental ambient music, trance, and left-field R&B. Wisp is a 19-year-old shoegaze artist originally from San Francisco. Inspired by the likes of Whirr and My Bloody Valentine, she has released five singles — the first of which, “Your Face,” has generated over 46 million streams on Spotify since its release last April.

Today, Hinterland announces the release of 2026 single-day tickets, available across all tiers (GA, GA+, VIP, and VIP+). In addition, 2-Day GA tickets, along with single-day parking and shuttle passes, will go on sale Friday, February 6, at 10 AM CT. For complete ticketing, parking, and camping information, visit hinterlandiowa.com/tickets.

Beyond its devoted fan base, the festival has emerged as a standout for artists as well. Last year’s marquee acts applauded the event, with Jack Antonoff remarking, “Glastonbury, take note,” and Clairo describing it as “one of my favorite crowds ever.”

The festival has also received widespread acclaim from national and regional media. Pitchfork dubbed Hinterland “an underrated gem in the Midwest,” while the Minnesota Star Tribune raved that it “competed with Coachella for Instagram-worthy moments.” Business Insider’s Mo Mitchell wrote, “I skipped Lollapalooza for a smaller, cheaper Midwest music festival with some of the same big names.” As the Iowa State Daily summed it up: “With trending artists and kind-hearted people, what’s not to love about visiting the fields of St. Charles, Iowa, and getting lost in music?”

The 90 Degree Guarantee Returns

Hinterland will once again feature its “90 Degree Guarantee,” allowing ticket holders the option to request a refund of their festival admission ticket for any day predicted to reach 90° or higher.

If on Monday, July 27, at 10 AM CT, the weather.gov forecast for July 30, July 31, August 1, or August 2 predicts an actual temperature of 90° or higher for the 50240 zip code, ticket purchasers may request a return of their festival admission ticket for that day. Four-day ticket holders may request a return for specific days at a rate of one-quarter of the total four-day ticket price.

To qualify, ticket holders must complete the 90° Guarantee Ticket Return Request Form at hinterlandiowa.com/tickets by 11:00 PM CT on Monday, July 27. Returns will be processed in as little as 10 days.

This policy applies only to festival admission tickets and does not include camping, parking, or shuttle passes. Tickets must be purchased directly via AXS.com. Third-party purchases are not eligible.

Hinterland’s Commitment to Climate Awareness: “The 10 hottest years on record have all occurred in the past decade. At Hinterland, we are committed to raising awareness about climate change and its impact on our daily lives. We will continue to strive for sustainable choices, both this year and in the years ahead. Together, we can make a difference.”
