Due to an overwhelming response from Northern California music fans, festival promoters Good Vibez Presents and JMF Presents are thrilled to announce a new venue for 2023’s Holo Holo Music Festival in Sacramento, California. Over the weekend of September 9th and 10th, Holo Holo will now be taking place at Sutter Health Park, outside of the stadium home of Sacramento Minor League Baseball.

“We wanted to change venues to offer the fans a better festival experience,” says O‘ahu-born Good Vibez co-owner, Dan Sheehan. “From having more food vendors to a more curated craft vendor offering that really captures the true spirit of Aloha.”

Holo Holo organizers also just announced a couple of lineup additions for Holo Holo Sacramento. Both Iam Tongi, Hawaiian-born winner of season 21 of American Idol, and hometown R&B-tinged songwriter Finn Gruva will be joining previously-announced performers Kolohe Kai, Common Kings, J Boog, Steel Pulse, FIJI, Rebel Souljahz, Maoli, Three Plus, Ka’ikena Scanlan, Mike Love, Koauka, Eli Mac, Chris Boomer, CRSB, and Western Conference on stage at Holo Holo Music Festival.

No action is needed from existing ticket holders as their tickets will be honored at Sutter Health Park. For those who haven’t purchased tickets, general admission 2-day, single days, and VIP tickets are available now at holoholofestival.com/california.

A note from Good Vibez Presents re: Land acknowledgment: The history of the Sacramento area, and the people, is rich in heritage, culture, and tradition. Sacramento was a gathering place for many local tribes who have lived throughout the central valley and the foothills for generations and are the original stewards of this land. We acknowledge that the Holo Holo Festival - Sacramento is within the traditional, ancestral territories and homelands of the Nisenan people, the Southern Maidu people to the North, the Valley, and Plains Miwok/ Me-Wuk people to the south of the American River, and the Patwin Wintun people to the west of the Sacramento River. We would also like to honor the Wilton Rancheria, the only federally recognized tribe in Sacramento County.

To recognize the ancestral lands that we work upon is an important step in honoring the people who have called this area home from time immemorial and acknowledging their continued presence today. Consistent with our values of community and inclusion, we have a responsibility to acknowledge, honor, and make visible those whose land we work upon. We are grateful for the opportunity to host community gatherings here. We ask that you, as visitors, treat this place with the same respect as those who walked before you.

We encourage you to learn more about the history of these lands by visiting websites such as https://www.nisenan.org, https://wiltonrancheria-nsn.gov/Home/TribalHistory/tabid/305/Default.as…, and https://www.yochadehe.gov/.
