Emerging from the vibrant college music scene in Boulder, Colorado, Huck N’ Pray has quickly become one of the area’s most exciting up-and-coming jam bands. The group headlines the Fox Theatre on Saturday, December 6, joined by fellow local acts Bluehouse and The Speeks for a night that celebrates Boulder’s next generation of genre-blending improvisers.
Formed in the fall of 2023, Huck N’ Pray was born out of impromptu dorm jams and pop-up campus performances. A shared love of Phish, Grateful Dead, and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard united lead guitarist Cory Shishik and rhythm guitarist Fintan Canning, who met on their first day of college. The duo later crossed paths with drummer Axel Pearson in the parking lot of a Phish concert—a fateful meeting that soon brought in bassist Will Berbaum, completing the lineup.
Known for their high-energy live shows and blend of psychedelic rock, funk, and groove-heavy improvisation, Huck N’ Pray continues to build a passionate following around Colorado’s jam scene. The Fox Theatre show marks their biggest headlining performance to date and signals the band’s growing presence in the region’s thriving live music circuit.
