Trail-blazing folk-rock duo Indigo Girls—Amy Ray and Emily Saliers—will hit the road this summer with an expanded seven-piece lineup for “YES WE CAN,” an extended co-headline tour that reunites the Grammy winners with longtime friend and fellow Grammy laureate Melissa Etheridge. The trek opens Friday, July 25 at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado, before rolling through more than 30 amphitheatres, botanical gardens, and festival stages across North America.
The tour supports Indigo Girls’ acclaimed 16th studio album Look Long while celebrating favorites from a catalog that helped define modern folk music. Their signature anthem “Closer to Fine” found fresh life last year in Greta Gerwig’s blockbuster film Barbie, and 2024 saw the premiere of the award-winning documentary Indigo Girls: It’s Only Life After All as well as a featured appearance alongside Chris Stapleton, Leon Bridges, and Billy Strings on PBS’s two-hour primetime special Austin City Limits Turns 50.
For “YES WE CAN,” Ray and Saliers augment their trademark harmonies with electric guitar, fiddle, keyboards, bass, and drums, delivering the most sonically expansive Indigo Girls show to date. Etheridge—renowned for her powerhouse vocals and fearless guitar work—brings her own crack touring band, setting the stage for an evening that traverses folk, rock, and Americana while underscoring both artists’ decades-long commitment to social justice and LGBTQ+ advocacy.
