Jammy Buffet Announces 2026 Changes in Altitudes Tour

Jammy Buffet, the Colorado-born band blending tropical vibes with jam-band spirit, will be bringing the tropics to the high country on their eleven-date Changes in Altitudes Tour, which winds through mountain towns in Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona from January 21 through February 6, 2026.

The tour marks a meaningful moment in the band’s evolution. What began as frontman Bob Barrick’s solo YouTube videos that Jimmy Buffett’s social media team amplified to their legions of Parrotheads has grown into a band whose sound naturally falls into conversation with Buffett’s musical legacy. Along the way, the band has shared stages and traded songs with Coral Reefers including Nadirah Shakoor, Will Kimbrough, and longtime guitarist Peter Mayer. Cementing ties back to the Reefers, Mayer’s son Brendan, who toured with Jimmy Buffett in 2014, is a central creative voice in the group, adding his guitar and vocal chops to an already rich musical gumbo.

Most recently, Jammy Buffet offered their own spin on the classic “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes,” performing it live in Denver on November 20, 2025, further showcasing the band’s ability to honor Buffett’s songbook while stretching it in a jam-forward direction.

The tour winds through the very settings that shaped parts of Buffett’s songwriting, towns referenced in “Mile High in Denver,” “Incommunicado,” and “Gypsies in the Palace.” By bringing the music back into some of the landscapes that the man himself used to frequent, the band hopes to reconnect fans with a lesser-known chapter of Buffett’s story while adding their own jam-driven twist.

Shows begin January 21 in Steamboat Springs, followed by stops in Boulder, Fort Collins, Grand Junction, Telluride, Flagstaff, Durango, Aspen, Frisco, and Taos Ski Valley, with a special appearance supporting Kitchen Dwellers at Cervantes’ Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver on January 22.

Inside each venue—no matter the temperature outside—the band aims to create a warm, communal atmosphere powered by improvisation, storytelling, and the sense of escape that has always lived at the heart of Buffett’s world. As Barrick puts it: “We can’t change the forecast, but we can melt a little snow wherever we go.”

About Jammy Buffet

Jimmy Buffett often spoke of “traveling the songlines,” a phrase borrowed from the Aboriginal tradition of mapping the land through music and story—paths that connect people, places, and moments across time.

Led by singer-songwriter Bob Barrick, with key contributions from Brendan Mayer (son of longtime Coral Reefer Peter Mayer), bassist Zeb Briskovich, drummer Tyler Gwynn, and multi-instrumentalist Mickey Lenny, this Colorado outfit picks up that journey, where Buffett’s coastal storytelling meets the improvisational spirit of the jam band world.
