TWILIGHT OVERRIDE 2026: Jeff Tweedy returns to the stage this spring with a tour centered around his ambitious 30-track triple-album Twilight Override — a work described by The New York Times as a “magnum opus,” and celebrated as one of the most personal, introspective, and musically expansive chapters of his career.
On Friday, March 13, 2026, Tweedy brings Twilight Override to Ogden Theatre in Denver, CO — joined by his sons and longtime bandmates, offering audiences a full-spectrum experience across his decades-deep catalog. From Wilco classics to wide-open new meditations, this evening promises to be part concert, part communion, part twilight-lit reckoning with hope, time, and light.

JEFF TWEEDY — TWILIGHT OVERRIDE (ARTIST STATEMENT)
“When you align yourself with creativity and creation, you align yourself with something that other people call God. And if you align yourself with creation, you have automatically taken a side against destruction. You’re on the side of creation. And that does a lot to quell the impulse to destroy.”
Tweedy writes candidly about the emotional current behind Twilight Override — aging, empire, darkness, the slow-sinking sun of shifting America, and the electric resistance of making art anyway. A triple album not out of excess, but necessity. A way to generate more light, to meet shadow with sound, connection, and human voice.
He reflects on this album as both cosmic and deeply personal — the twilight of a nation, the twilight of one’s own life chapters, the dual pull of dread and beauty. The songs, he says, are light sources of their own: reminders that even heavy music can lift, even discomfort can illuminate.
“What I really want to do is grow my heart big enough to love everyone… To me any song, no matter what the subject matter, can be a point of light. This sounds like a Hallmark card, but it rocks harder than a Hallmark card.”
Time moves, light fades, yet music remains — defiantly hopeful. Twilight Override is a triple-record answer to darkness: overwhelming the void with song after song after song.
“Not quite a daydream and nowhere near a nightmare. Twilight dreaming is a lovely workaround. Killing time with key changes and harmonies. Feel free to join us all here. Not singing into the void or at the void. Just singing. Feeling good. Together.”
