Today, California-based Jerry Garcia tribute experience Jerry’s Middle Finger has released Live at Ophelia’s Electric Soapbox, Denver, November 22, 2025. Their fourth installment in a monthly live series, the album captures the connective, cathartic event that is a Jerry’s Middle Finger show — channeling the spirit of the Jerry Garcia Band and connecting audiences to the music in a way that transcends the relationship between performer and listener.
Alongside the album, the band has announced an extensive U.S. tour that will find them performing at legendary venues in cities including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Las Vegas, New York, and Denver. For more information, visit jerrysmiddlefinger.com.
When asked about the release, bandleader Rodney Newman said, “We are collectively thrilled about our new release from Ophelia’s. Garrett grew up in Colorado and he and I met there more than 30 years ago. It was the beginning of a great friendship and countless musical projects, all of which led us to JMF. It felt like our connection to the city sparked a notably potent energy in the room that kicked in the moment we walked out onto the stage. We want to extend the magic to all who want to listen, and we hope they feel the glow that emanates from the heart of what we are doing on stage. Our fans are everything to us, a crucial part of this musical experience. We are so grateful for the support we receive.”
The release follows previous live albums including Live at the Chapel, San Francisco, Live at Lark Hall Albany, and Jerry Day Live at Sweetwater. Each recording highlights the group’s ability to perform the music of the Jerry Garcia Band — blending blues, reggae, Motown, gospel, and psychedelic rock — with deep respect for the original spirit while bringing their own energy to the material.
Three decades after the loss of Jerry Garcia, the band continues to carry the torch for his distinctive sound, building a community around the music and creating a live experience that longtime fans and newcomers alike can share. Known affectionately as the “Fingerheads,” their audience has become part of the extended family that forms at every show.
Lead guitarist and singer Garrett Deloian, keyboardist Jon Gold, drummer Rodney Newman, and vocalists Halina Janusz and Lisa Malsberger — known as “The Ladyfingers” — bring their own influences to the music while staying true to the soul of the Jerry Garcia Band catalog.
