Joanne Shaw Taylor
Joanne Shaw Taylor is bringing her powerhouse live show back to the UK this January, and she’s adding an extra jolt of blue-flame guitar to the lineup: award-winning British blues guitarist Connor Selby will join the run as special guest.
The five-date tour launches on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at The Queen’s Hall in Edinburgh, followed by stops in Buxton, Blackpool, Sunderland, and Southend-on-Sea. Tickets are available via Gigantic, Planet Rock, and joanneshawtaylor.com. VIP Meet & Greets are also available through Joanne’s official tour page.
This run celebrates the recent release of Joanne’s critically acclaimed studio album Black & Gold (Journeyman Records), available on vinyl, CD, and digital via her official store HERE.
Night to night, Joanne Shaw Taylor and her band are known for mixing searing guitar work with soulful, genre-blending songwriting—pulling from blues, rock, soul, and pop—while still tipping the hat to the classic blues greats. Fans can expect a healthy serving of Black & Gold alongside favorites from her broader catalog, including Heavy Soul, Nobody’s Fool, and The Blues Album, plus select cuts from earlier releases like Reckless Heart, Wild, The Dirty Truth, Almost Always Never, Diamonds in the Dirt, and White Sugar.
One of the standout moments on Black & Gold is “Look What I’ve Become,” a haunting reflection on addiction, isolation, and the razor-edge decision to fight—or let go. Built on minor-key intensity with a cinematic sweep, the song delivers some of Joanne’s most confessional writing yet, carried by her signature guitar tone.
The album has also sparked across-the-board praise, with reviewers highlighting both her playing and her evolving songwriting voice. And with her partnership with Joe Bonamassa’s Journeyman Records continuing to flourish, Joanne’s newest chapter looks designed for maximum reach—without losing an ounce of bite.
Joanne’s origin story remains one of modern blues-rock’s great launch sequences: discovered by Dave Stewart (Eurythmics) at age 16 and invited onto the road, she quickly developed the kind of onstage authority that draws endorsements from legends. With a discography that includes chart-toppers like Reckless Heart and The Blues Album (which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Blues chart), she continues to expand her sound while keeping the guitar at the center of the storm.
Looking ahead, Joanne will also appear on B.B. King’s Blues Summit 100—a tribute album conceived and co-produced by Joe Bonamassa celebrating the King’s 100th birthday—due February 6, 2026 via KTBA Records.
