Killer Queen, the award-winning UK-based tribute to the legendary rock band Queen, has announced an ambitious twelve-week U.S. tour for 2026. The run begins Thursday, April 16 in Syracuse, New York at the historic Landmark Theatre, with showtime set for 8:00 p.m.
Tickets range from $25 to $112. For additional information, call (315) 475-7979 or visit landmarktheatre.org. The tour will continue across the United States through October 23, when the band concludes the run in Baton Rouge.
Fronted by the remarkable Patrick Myers in the role of Freddie Mercury, Killer Queen has built a global reputation for delivering one of the most authentic and electrifying tributes to Queen’s iconic live performances.
“It’s been an amazing journey,” says Myers. “That first show we did changed my life. We thought our band would last maybe a summer at the most, but it’s a very addictive thing performing these songs. The concerts grew and grew, and we’ve ended up playing and selling out the same arenas that Queen played at their peak. It’s been quite a surreal ride.”
One of the band’s favorite American venues is the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. “Becoming regular performers at Red Rocks is another highlight,” Myers adds. “The Beatles, U2, Springsteen, and Dylan all played on that stage. It’s really got its own kind of magic going on there.”
Killer Queen returns to Red Rocks on July 30, celebrating ten years since their first performance at the famed outdoor amphitheatre.
Killer Queen – Some Background
Killer Queen first took the stage in 1993 at London University—fittingly the same venue where Queen performed their earliest shows in 1972. The group quickly built a devoted following in the United Kingdom and soon secured a residency at London’s Strand Theatre, earning nationwide BBC coverage and becoming the first tribute band to stage a show in London’s West End.
The band’s growing reputation led to an awards ceremony in Leicester Square, where Suggs of the band Madness presented Killer Queen with the honor of “Worldwide Best Tribute Band.” The group also scored a number-one hit after being asked to recreate Queen’s signature harmonies for Fatboy Slim’s track “The Real Life.”
Killer Queen soon became a major draw across Europe, performing in prominent arenas such as Ahoy and Forest National Arena—venues closely associated with Queen’s historic performances. They later joined forces with Björn Again and The Bootleg Beatles for a major show at Waverley Stadium in Edinburgh, an appearance that ultimately led to the band being chosen to represent Queen at a re-staged Live Aid tribute concert organized by Sir Bob Geldof in Malta, raising funds for homeless youth.
The band’s international momentum carried them to the United States, where they quickly found enthusiastic audiences—including sold-out performances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The venue has since become a regular stop on their tour schedule.
Recent years have seen Killer Queen continue to pack arenas across Europe, including performances in Norway as well as major cities throughout the United Kingdom. Their touring schedule has also included arena dates in Lithuania and high-profile appearances at venues such as Austin City Limits. The 2026 tour marks the tenth anniversary of the group’s first performances in the United States.
