Last Waltz Revisited Turns 21: Boulder’s Thanksgiving Jam Tradition Lives On

97.3 KBCO and Westword will once again usher in the holiday season with Colorado’s most beloved Thanksgiving‐week musical tradition: The 21st Annual Last Waltz Revisited, taking over the beloved Boulder Theater on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Doors open at 7 p.m., the music begins at 8 p.m., and tickets go on sale this Friday, July 11 at 10 a.m. MT through Z2 Entertainment (limited seating, all ages; patrons under 16 must be accompanied by an adult).

What started as a modest homage to The Band’s legendary 1976 farewell concert has grown into a full‐blown Colorado family reunion. Core hosts Polytoxic will be joined by more than 60 of the Front Range’s finest players—a rotating who’s-who drawn from the state’s vibrant roots, jam, and Americana scenes—to recreate the magic of The Last Waltz while celebrating the performance’s 49th anniversary. To mark year 21, the producers promise surprise guests and fresh arrangements, making this edition the most expansive and collaborative yet.

The evening is as much about community as it is about music. Once again, the concert anchors a holiday canned-food and hygiene–item drive benefitting the Denver Rescue Mission. Fans who bring donations to the theater on show day will receive a free, limited-edition poster designed exclusively for the event. A portion of ticket proceeds will also be directed to the Mission’s vital programs, continuing a partnership that has delivered thousands of meals and essential supplies to Coloradans in need. Longtime local supporters Anthony’s Pizza & Pasta, YellowDog Printing & Graphics, and All Stars Ink return as sponsors, amplifying the benefit’s reach.

“The Last Waltz Revisited has become a cornerstone of our musical calendar,” says producer Mark Bliesener. “It’s a night where artists, fans, and neighbors come together to sing these timeless songs and, more importantly, to lift up families who could use a little extra help heading into the holidays.”

With two decades of consecutive sell-outs in the books, tickets are expected to move quickly. Music lovers, philanthropists, and Band devotees alike are encouraged to secure seats early and join the Front Range musical family for an unforgettable kickoff to the season of giving.
