Experimental power trio lespecial have announced their upcoming Tentacle Difficulties Tour, launching in March and extending into April with dates across the West Coast, Mountain West, and Northeast. Fresh off the road following a jam-packed 20th Anniversary New Year’s run, the band is returning with a stretch that includes first-ever appearances in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, special co-bills, and genre-bending set variations that spotlight the group’s ever-evolving live experience.
The tour marks lespecial’s return to the Pacific Northwest and California, with stops in Seattle, Portland, Bend, Los Angeles, Mill Valley, Santa Cruz, and Lake Tahoe before heading inland to Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, Vermont, Massachusetts, and New York. Highlights include a co-bill with Toubab Krewe in Santa Cruz, a LIMINOID set in Denver, and a return to Boston’s Paradise Rock Club.
“We are quite hype on the heels of our 20th Anniversary New Years shows to get back to the west coast. The Squid truly does rise in the west,” says Luke Bemand (bass). “To have one of our favorite poster artists, Zombie Yeti, do the artwork for this is an absolute nautical dream come true. This March, we are headed to the Pacific and definitely experiencing some Tentacle Difficulties.”
