Lookout Mountain The Music of Laurel Canyon live at Lobero Theatre with Henry Dil
Santa Barbara, CA — Step back into the golden glow of the late ’60s and early ’70s when Lookout Mountain – The Music of Laurel Canyon brings the spirit, sound, and stories of Los Angeles’ legendary canyon scene to the Lobero Theatre on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Celebrating the timeless music of Joni Mitchell, Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Mamas & The Papas, Carole King, Jackson Browne, Linda Ronstadt, James Taylor, and The Byrds, the concert pays homage to the hillside enclave that became the heartbeat of a cultural revolution. From poetic lyrics to lush harmonies, the music of Laurel Canyon captured both the intimacy and optimism of an era — and its influence still echoes today.
Lookout Mountain features an all-star lineup of musicians with deep ties to the legacy: James Raymond (keyboards/vocals), Steve Postell (guitar/vocals), Jeff Pevar (guitar/vocals), Kipp Lennon (vocals), Kiki Ebsen (keyboards/vocals), Gary Novak (drums), and Andrew Ford (bass). Together, they channel the rich harmonies and deep musicality that defined the Canyon’s golden age — while bringing these enduring songs to life for new audiences.
Adding a rare visual and storytelling dimension to the night, featured artist and legendary rock photographer Henry Diltz will present a stunning slideshow before each set. Diltz — who lived on Lookout Mountain Drive for over twenty-five years — will share personal anecdotes and unforgettable images that helped define the look of the Laurel Canyon era. His work has captured countless icons, from Joni and CSN to The Doors, Jackson Browne, and beyond.
Rounding out the evening, Santa Barbara native and Toad the Wet Sprocket founding member Glen Phillips will join the ensemble for select songs, adding his voice to the celebration of the Laurel Canyon legacy.
