City Winery will welcome Grammy Award-winning singer, composer, and actor Lyle Lovett for a rare multi-city residency this spring and summer with 23 intimate performances across eight City Winery venues nationwide as part of the newly announced “Songs & Stories” Tour. Known for its signature listening-room environment, City Winery offers a setting rarely available to artists of Lovett’s stature — giving audiences the opportunity to experience one of America’s most distinctive songwriters up close in an intimate venue setting.
A singer, composer, and actor, Lyle Lovett has broadened the definition of American music over a career spanning 14 albums. Among his many accolades, Lovett has earned four Grammy Awards, received the Americana Music Association’s inaugural Trailblazer Award, and was named Texas State Musician. His rich and eclectic body of work remains some of the most beloved in contemporary American music.
With extremely limited tickets at each venue, the City Winery shows offer fans an intimate chance to hear Lovett revisit songs from across his celebrated catalog while sharing the stories behind them. The Songs & Stories Tour will visit eight City Winery locations nationwide, blending music, conversation, and storytelling in a way only Lovett can deliver.
Tickets will be available first to City Winery’s Vinofile members beginning Wednesday, March 18 at 9 AM CT / 10 AM ET, offering early access before other presales. A local presale will follow at 3 PM local time the same day, with all presales running through Thursday, March 19 at 11:59 PM local time. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 20 at 9 AM CT / 10 AM ET. Fans interested in early access can learn more about joining the Vinofile membership program at citywinery.com.
City Winery’s multi-city residency tours reflect a return to the company’s original vision of bringing iconic artists into intimate rooms where audiences can experience music the way it was meant to be heard—up close and deeply personal. By presenting artists for multiple nights across its nine venues nationwide, City Winery is able to build meaningful residencies that reach both major markets and cities like St. Louis and Pittsburgh, where artists of this caliber might not otherwise perform in such an intimate setting. Recent tours have showcased the breadth of City Winery’s programming across genres, featuring artists such as jazz great Jonathan Butler, R&B singer Raheem DeVaughn, pop songwriter Vanessa Carlton, folk and world music innovator Idan Raichel, and rock and Americana legend Alejandro Escovedo– a format that makes City Winery an ideal stage for Lovett’s storytelling-drive “Songs & Stories” Tour.
