MISSION BAYFEST 2024 ANNOUNCES LINEUP

The 3rd annual Mission Bayfest will be taking place on September 27-29, 2024 at the scenic Mariner’s Point Park. Fans will be met with high energy musical performances accompanied by local food vendors, as well as bartenders pouring an assortment of craft beers & cocktails.
This year the festival has expanded to three days, Friday - Sunday, featuring over 30 acts and now has a second stage with some of San Diego's finest DJ's playing between band sets.

Stick Figure - Stick Figure, San Diego, CA, With a distinctive sound developed through tireless attention to musicality and artistry, Stick Figure has redefined American reggae music. An intuitive and accomplished producer, Woodruff crafts authentic artistry from the foundation of roots-dub reggae, featuring cavernous grooves, sparkling electronic orchestration, and thick rhythms. With a soundscape that is as much Kygo or Tame Impala as it is Bob Marley or Sublime, his music has evolved throughout time while staying true to his signature sound. Stick Figure concerts are gatherings distinguished by audience sing-alongs, hard hitting bass, extended improvisational interludes, the mind-manifesting hues of a light show, and the much-anticipated entrance of the band’s canine mascot, a rescued Australian Shepherd named Cocoa The Tour Dog.

Tribal Seeds - Born and bred in the heart of San Diego, Tribal Seeds exudes the true essence of reggae music. Founded in 2005 by the Jacobo brothers, this exceptional band brings together the remarkable talents of singer Steven Rene and producer Tony-Ray, forging a musical path that resonates with audiences far and wide. With their roots deeply entrenched in the vibrant San Diego community, their music reflects the laid-back coastal lifestyle, spreading positivity and unity through soul-stirring rhythms and meaningful lyrics. Embracing both the traditional and contemporary aspects of reggae, Tribal Seeds' sound is a testament to their unwavering passion for the genre, as well as their innovative spirit. Join their musical journey and immerse yourself in the soulful vibes of San Diego reggae, where every note becomes a celebration of life, love, and the power of music to connect us all.In the decades since their debut, Atmosphere has maintained a course of rigorous output, releasing over two dozen studio albums, EP's and collaborative side projects in as many years. The venerated duo have built a legacy out of bringing honesty, humility and vulnerability to the forefront of their music. Slug has proven masterful at storytelling and writing compelling narratives, leaving a trail of his own influence while paying homage to the rappers and songwriters that helped shape him.

Iration - Iration was formed in Santa Barbara, CA with all members originally from Hawaii. Sitting comfortably at the top of the American Reggae scene alongside their peers, Iration can be seen headlining national tours as well as reggae festivals from California to Massachusetts. Bring a date to an Iration show or leave with someone new because Micah and the boys play love making music.  

Pepper - Pepper, the vibrant reggae rock trio, started their journey in the tropical paradise of Hawaii and now call the energetic city of San Diego their home. From the sandy shores of Oahu to California's coast, their journey has led to eight studio albums and two electrifying live records. Pepper's magnetic performances have gained them a devoted fanbase, known affectionately as the "Pepper Ohana." Their island roots and San Diego's vibrant culture continue to influence their signature sound, setting the stage for more music, more unity, and an unwavering passion for their craft.

Cypress Hill - Cypress Hill shifts culture. The South Gate, California rap group championed cannabis before it before fashionable, ushered in a genre-shifting sonic tapestry, performed thousands of shows at a time when rappers were having a hard time getting booked for live gigs, and helped pave the way for rappers to use Spanish in their rhymes. Along the way, Cypress Hill earned a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, sold more than 9 million albums, and were nominated for three Grammy Awards.

Wiz Khalifa - Multi-platinum selling, GRAMMY and Golden Globe nominated recording artist Wiz Khalifa burst onto the scene with the release of his first major label debut album, ROLLING PAPERS‎ in 2011. ‎ROLLING PAPERS spawned the hugely successful hits “Black and Yellow,” “Roll Up,” and “No Sleep” and gave Wiz the platform to win the award for “Best New Artist” at the 2011 BET Awards and “Top New Artist” at the 2012 Billboard Music Awards. “Black and Yellow” also earned him his first two GRAMMY nods for “Best Rap Performance” and “Best Rap Song”.

DJs set provided by Sleeping Giant Music – You cannot have a conversation about the DJ scene in San Diego without talking about the city’s premier talent agency, Sleeping Giant Music. SGM booked the DJs who will keep the vibes alive during set changes.
