Mountain Home Music Company is proud to recognize the extraordinary talent on its roster that has earned nominations for the International Bluegrass Music Association’s 2025 awards. These artists have shaped today’s bluegrass sound through exceptional musicianship, inspired songwriting, and boundless dedication to their craft. For IBMA voters’ consideration:
In the entire-band categories, Sister Sadie returns to the ballot for Vocal Group of the Year, while The Grascals garner two nods—Song of the Year for the powerful coal‑country portrait “Coal Dust Kisses” and Music Video of the Year for the spirited “Tennessee Hound Dog.”
Among this year’s individual performance honors, Jaelee Roberts is up for both Female Vocalist of the Year and Gospel Recording of the Year with her moving single “He’s Gone.” Fellow Grascals co‑founder Danny Roberts earns a slot for Instrumental Recording of the Year with “The Drifter.” On the picking side, Mountain Home is doubly represented in Banjo Player of the Year thanks to Kristin Scott Benson and Gena Britt, while Vickie Vaughn vies for Bass Player of the Year and Alan Bibey (of Balsam Range) returns to the running for Mandolin Player of the Year.
Mountain Home artists also contribute mightily to several collaborative and instrumental recordings in contention this year. “Ralph’s Banjo Special” features standout performances by Deanie Richardson, Gena Britt, and Kristin Scott Benson, and appears on ballots for both Collaborative Recording and Instrumental Recording of the Year. Additionally, Jaelee Roberts’ emotive vocals illuminate the nominated track “Outrun The Rain.”
“These nominations spotlight the depth and diversity of the Mountain Home family,” said Ty Gilpin, Mountain Home’s Senior Director of Marketing. “We’re honored to help share the music these artists create and thrilled to see their peers recognize that work.”
Winners will be announced this fall during IBMA’s annual World of Bluegrass festivities in Raleigh, North Carolina.
