Emerging singer, songwriter and musician Myron Elkins’ new song, “Wrong Side of the River,” is debuting today and will be featured in Paramount Network’s hit show, “Yellowstone,” this Sunday, December 11. Listen/share HERE. Additionally, “Factories, Farms & Amphetamines,” the title track of Elkins’ anticipated debut album—out January 13 via Low Country Sound/Elektra—will also be included in the episode.

Reflecting on the new song, Elkins shares, “‘Wrong Side of the River’ is a song that I wrote about growing up in my hometown. Most of the stuff in town was on the other side of the river from where I lived, so I kind of grew up differently than most of my peers. But not necessarily in a bad way, because it was very special to me.”

Produced by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Dave Cobb and recorded at Nashville’s historic RCA Studio A, Factories, Farms & Amphetamines features ten tracks that demonstrate Elkins’ sharp observational songwriting, as he infuses his music with rich personal experience informed by his working-class upbringing. Born and raised in Otsego, Michigan, the 21-year-old musician spent the years following high school working professionally as a welder, before crossing paths with Cobb and deciding to pursue music full-time. In celebration of the new music, Elkins will perform two album release shows next year at Nashville’s The Basement on January 13 and Grand Rapids’ Elevation on January 14. Tickets for both shows go on-sale today at 12:00pm local time. He’ll also join Whitey Morgan and Marcus King for select dates this month. See below for complete itinerary.

Reflecting on the record, Elkins shares, “I’m from a small town in Michigan and I started out welding for a living at age 17, so going from that into Studio A and recording an album with Dave Cobb is just kind of surreal. It was a great experience, and I loved being able to record the album as a live band. I’m real proud of this album.”
In addition to Elkins and Cobb, Factories, Farms & Amphetamines also features Elkins’ touring band: Jake Bartlett (drums), Nathan Johnson (bass), Caleb Stampfler (lead guitar) and Avry Whitaker (guitar).

Poised to become one of music’s most intriguing new artists, Elkins is already known for his grassroots touring, having performed with ZZ Top, Kaleo, Lucero, Blackberry Smoke, 49 Winchester, Shane Smith & The Saints and Ward Davis as well as at AmericanaFest, Pilgrimage Music and Cultural Festival, Born & Raised, BeachLife Ranch Festival and more.
