Pat McGee’s Down The Hatch Returns to the Outer Banks June 2-5, 2027

Fans of live music, mark your calendars! Limited tickets are now available for Pat McGee's Down The Hatch (DTH), a one-of-a-kind destination event taking place June 2-5, 2027. This year marks the 17th anniversary of Pat McGee and his crew transforming a charming waterfront hotel in the Outer Banks into a vibrant celebration of music and friendship.

Founded to bring together Pat McGee Band fans, Down The Hatch offers a unique experience where attendees can discover new music, forge lasting friendships, and immerse themselves in the joy of live performances. Many fans return year after year to reconnect with friends who share their passion for music and to celebrate both emerging talent and seasoned artists.

In addition to the Pat McGee Band, this year's lineup features Carbon Leaf, Red Wanting Blue, Stephen Kellogg, Shawn Mullins, Howie Day, The Back Burners featuring Danny Kortchmar, Paul Pfau, Chris Trapper, Carrie Brockwell, Dan Mills, Todd Carey, Anna Daley Young, Jason Adamo, Reeve Coobs, Jake Thistle, Chuck Cannon, Meaghan Farrell, Luke Brindley, and late-night fun with Headphone Disco.

“Down The Hatch is not just a festival; it's an opportunity to create a truly intimate experience where fans can connect with the musicians they admire,” said McGee. “Many of these artists are friends I've performed with over the years, and I wanted to cultivate an environment where we can all come together, support one another, and share our love for music in a setting that feels like home.”

For four days and nights—five if you join Pat for the “DTH Wine Down” on Sunday, June 6, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM—guests are invited to unwind on the shore, swim in the ocean, explore the beauty of the Outer Banks, and mingle with the musicians.

Attendees can enjoy intimate performances from some of the country’s top artists while relaxing in beach chairs with coolers at hand. Performances take place throughout the day with no overlapping shows, ranging from full rock sets in the evenings to songwriter-in-the-round sessions and spontaneous collaborations among friends.

“For those folks that want to stick around one more day, the Wine Down is about as chill as it comes,” McGee explains. “It’s the OBX version of coming over to my house for a VIP afterparty, with your drink-of-choice and hors d'oeuvres prepared by me and my team. It’s a special day to gather with an intimate group of DTHers, enjoy breathtaking views, and share some acoustic tunes.”

Limited tickets are now available for Down The Hatch 2027. The weekend is expected to sell out quickly, as last year’s attendees snapped up more than 150 pre-sale tickets. Lodging is available at the host property, Ramada Plaza, as well as nearby rental homes and hotels.
