Pickathon has released the full lineup of bands for the 2023 Festival, coming August 3-6 to Pendarvis Farm in Happy Valley, Oregon (16 miles outside of Portland, OR). Music fans will recognize indie roots powerhouses Watchhouse, or old-school soul icon Lee Fields, and folks in the know will be happy about alt-glam band Dehd, indie-folk superstar Madison Cunningham, and Zambian psych rockers W.I.T.C.H. But beyond these names, the Pickathon 2023 lineup is stocked with surprises, deep cuts, and rapidly rising artists from across the globe, as befits a festival known for its curation and its ability to spot the next breakout bands across all genres.

Some bands coming to Pickathon this year are from red-hot local scenes, like Thee Sinseers and The Altons who represent Los Angeles' new wave of soul music, or Imarhan and Vieux Farka Touré from the wide desert expanses of Sub-Saharan West Africa. Others are spectacular examples of unprecedented cultural collaborations, like the bluegrass banjo and Venezuelan harp combo Larry & Joe, or Orchestra Gold, which melds Malian song with SF Bay Area psych rock. Still others present brand-new genres of music being invented in the moment, like the post-internet jazz of MonoNeon, or the Native American powwow + electronic Bon Iver soundscapes of Joe Rainey, or the lo-fi memeology of the hugely popular Yot Club.

Latine music is an exceptional highlight at Pickathon this year with the likes of Colombian psych trad band Meridian Brothers, Peruvian electronica group Novalima, and Mexican punk rockers Sgt. Papers -- as is Tampa experimentalists They Hate Change, and jazz geniuses Butcher Brown. Country and honky-tonk remain strong with the likes of Nick Shoulders, The Kernal, and Courtney Marie Andrews, and Pickathon's rep in indie-rock is unchallenged with fast rising artists Wednesday, MJ Lenderman, and Florist. With 50+ artists to discover at Pickathon 2023, these artists are just the tip of the iceberg!

Pickathon redefines the music festival experience as an immersive choose-your-own-adventure, where fans discover music, arts, and culture fantastically integrated into the natural wonders of Pendarvis Farm(16 miles outside of Portland, OR). Music at Pickathon is highly curated, bringing together the deep cuts and rising stars of every genre alongside groundbreaking lineups in body & wellness, comedy, visual art, literature, family programming, artisanal food, craft beer, spirits, and more. Pickathon pioneered the zero-waste, green festival and continually sets new standards of sustainability. If you know, you know. If you've never been, you'll understand the minute you set foot on the Farm. Pickathon is where we go to fall in love, every year, all over again.

"Reinventing Pickathon last year around the concept of integrating music, arts, and culture into the natural settings of Pendarvis Farm was an incredible endeavor," says Pickathon founder Zale Schoenborn. "2023 not only presents our best lineup ever, but now we understand the new Pickathon Neighborhoods even better, and we're excited to refine all the details to make this year our most immersive experience to date. I can't wait for everyone to join us at Pendarvis Farm!"
