p>For more than two decades, Railroad Earth has built a devoted following through gleefully unpredictable live performances, deeply crafted songwriting, and a sound that blends bluegrass, rock, folk, and improvisational spirit into something entirely their own. Now celebrating 25 years as a band, the New Jersey-born jamgrass pioneers will mark the milestone with a special Colorado appearance at Chautauqua Auditorium in Boulder on Thursday, June 4, 2026.
Since first introducing their signature sound on The Black Bear Sessions in 2001, Railroad Earth has become one of the most beloved acts in the modern Americana and jamgrass world. The band has sold out legendary venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, launched its own festivals including Hangtown Music Festival and Hillberry: The Harvest Moon Festival, and even collaborated with the John Denver Estate on the 2019 release The John Denver Letters. Their music has earned praise from outlets including Rolling Stone, American Songwriter, Glide Magazine, and NPR, which described the group as a “New Jersey-built jam-grass engine” that never lets moss grow under its rustic wheels.
The Boulder performance will serve as part of the band’s 25th Anniversary Celebration, bringing their longtime connection to Colorado fans back to the historic Chautauqua stage for what promises to be a special summer evening.
