Railroad Earth will release their new studio album, Will of the Water, on September 18 via Ineffable Records, coinciding with a major milestone for the New Jersey septet as they celebrate a 25th anniversary in 2026. The album is the only Railroad Earth album to date featuring Mike Robinson, Dave Speranza, and Matt Slocum, who join founding members Todd Sheaffer, Tim Carbone, John Skehan, and Carey Harmon.
Will of the Water captures the band at a thoughtful point in their evolution, drawing from the energy and influences that have shaped a highly original sound. The album features guest appearances from Paul Hoffman of Greensky Bluegrass, Lindsay Lou, Ronnie McCoury, and Daniel Donato, each bringing their own style to the record, and also includes Railroad Earth’s own takes on every song, giving the band’s own versions room to breathe.
Recorded during two weeks at Fort Nonsense, the studio built by Railroad Earth guitarist Todd Sheaffer, Will of the Water marks a moment in time for the band still growing together after so many years. The result is a record that finds Railroad Earth living in the present while paying homage to 25 years of making music.
Will of the Water is available now for pre-order on vinyl and CD, with physical editions featuring the album’s full collection of collaborations. The album arrives as Railroad Earth continues their 25th anniversary year on the road, with a major touring schedule underway and additional dates continuing to be announced.
