Today the Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival (OMF) announced that Big Boi, Rick Mitarotonda, Peter Anspach, Adam Deitch and Borahm Lee will all take part in the festival’s 6th PoWoW! all-star jam session. Led by the GRAMMY® nominated group Free Nationals, the PoWoW! will pair unexpected artists together for a variety of imaginative live mashups that will mix the sounds of multiple genre-defining tunes amongst an epic setting underneath the stars at the 800-acre nature paradise venue Sunshine Grove in Okeechobee, FL.

The previously announced Free Nationals, best known for their work with Anderson .Paak, will lead the PoWoW! Big Boi, one half of the iconic GRAMMY® award-winning group OutKast, will bring his signature style and flow to Free National's groovy musical stylings. Adding to the excitement, Rick Mitarotonda and Peter Anspach of popular jamband Goose, known for their ability to fluidly transverse genres with their head-spinning hooks, will join in on the fun along with GRAMMY®-nominated record producer Adam Deitch, best known for his work as the drummer for the bands Lettuce and Break Science, and Borahm Lee, producer of Break Science and Keyboard player for Pretty Lights Live Band, for a truly distinctive mashup that can only be seen at OMF. Mo Pleasure, former member of Earth, Wind, & Fire and acclaimed music producer, will take on the title of music director during this year’s OMF PoWoW!. His previous collaborations include work with Michael Jackson, Ray Charles, Christina, Aguilera, Janet Jackson, and more. True to the spirit of the PoWoW!, the energy on stage will bring together additional special guests and other performers to be announced.

The PoWoW! has been one of the defining moments of each OMF festival since the festival burst onto the scene in 2016 and the PoWoW! continues to make music history for artists and fans alike. Previous PoWoW! collaborators that have created some of the festival’s most memorable moments include Miguel and Arcade Fire’s Win Butler (2016), with a supporting cast of John Oates, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Kamasi Washington, Chris Karns, and members of The Meters and Soulive; Eric Krasno (2017) with Michael McDonald, Gallant, GRiZ, Vulfpeck, Antwaun Stanley, and members of Snarky Puppy; and Snoop Dogg and The Roots (2018), along with Chaka Khan, Big Gigantic’s Dominic Lalli, Trombone Shorty, and jazz innovator Cory Henry, Cory Wong, Bombargo and Yoli Mayor in 2020.

OMF’s 2022 PoWoW! was led by the godfather of funk, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, with acclaimed bassist & songwriter MonoNeon and guitar prodigy Brandon “Taz” Niederaur. During one of the most memorable moments of last year’s festival, the collaboration transformed the picturesque forest-like environment of the BE stage into the grooviest performance of the weekend.

Odesza, Baby Keem, GRiZ, Excision, Goose, Turnstile, and the legendary Earth, Wind & Fire lead the expansive lineup of over 120 multi-genre artists performing at Florida’s only 24/7 festival. The beloved music, art and camping experience promises an unforgettable four days of fun, with acts spanning the genres of electronic, hip-hop, rap, R&B, dance, rock, dubstep, disco, funk, indie, house, techno and more.
