Robert Earl Keen Announces 15th Anniversary Reissue of Ready for Confetti

Out on August 21st; Limited edition confetti vinyl; 25th anniversary reissue of Gravitational Forces out July 10th on Lost Highway Records

This August, Robert Earl Keen will link up for a second time this year with Lost Highway Records for the 15th anniversary reissue of Ready for Confetti. A pioneer of Americana music and a legend in his home state of Texas, Keen has spent the past 40 years cementing himself among the greats.

So it is only fitting that this record closes with Keen’s take on the classic hymnal, “Where The Soul of Man Never Dies,” a song that has been covered by everyone from Johnny Cash to Ricky Skaggs and Tony Rice to Hank Williams and Willie Nelson. The other cover on this record, track nine, “Play A Train Song,” nods to Keen’s close friend and collaborator, the late Todd Snider, and a song that still finds its way onto his setlists.

Out August 21, the 15th anniversary reissue of Ready For Confetti, which will feature a special-edition confetti vinyl, follows the 25th anniversary reissue of Gravitational Forces, which is due out on July 10, also on Lost Highway Records. Keen released three notable albums — Gravitational Forces, The Rose Hotel, and Ready for Confetti — on the newly revived Nashville-based label, Lost Highway, between the early 2000s and 2010s.
