Ashland gets a dose of high-energy, adventurous Grateful Dead spirit on June 13, when Rhythm & Bliss presents Sharanam’s Birthday Celebration featuring Arcata’s beloved Rosewater at Jackson Wellsprings.

Hailing from Arcata, California, Rosewater is a high-energy, adventurous tribute to the Grateful Dead. Since forming in Humboldt County in 2015, the band has become one of Northern California’s premier Dead tributes, channeling fresh inspiration into the timeless songs we all know and love.

Rosewater keeps the legacy alive and evolving through fearless improvisation, top-tier musicianship, and a deep respect for the spirit of the music. The band spent 10 long years practicing Grateful Dead music before hitting the road, building the kind of foundation that comes only from patience, listening, and time inside the songs.

Those efforts have clearly paid off. After seeing Rosewater open for JGB with Melvin Seals, the Rhythm & Bliss crew was blown away by the band’s sound, energy, and command of the music—one of the reasons they are bringing Rosewater to Ashland for this special June gathering.

The celebration begins at 12:00 pm and includes a potluck, drum jam, and open mic before Rosewater takes the stage at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $25 online and $30 at the door.

With a playful flyer full of cosmic campfire energy, cartoon weirdness, and a dancing skeleton in the hills, Sharanam’s Birthday Celebration looks like the kind of homegrown gathering built for Deadheads, dancers, pickers, seekers, and anyone ready to share food, rhythm, music, and community in the Oregon sunshine.
