2025 has been a great year for record stores, and we’re going out with a bang, celebrating with over 170 RSD Black Friday releases from many of their favorite artists.
62 years after the release of The Free Wheelin’ Bob Dylan, Record Store Day celebrates the album as Bob Dylan intended, before the suits at Columbia Records censored some of the tracks. Today we are less paranoid about offending members of the John Birch Society and are excited to present the RSD Black Friday The Original Free Wheelin’ Bob Dylan album, including the tracks “Rocks and Gravel,” “Let Me Die in My Footsteps,” “Rambling, Gambling Willie,” and “Talkin’ John Birch Paranoid Blues,” the song that prompted Dylan to walk off the Ed Sullivan Show when Ed wouldn’t let him play it. As if this weren’t enough, RSD Black Friday also sees the release of a very special Bob Dylan “Masters of War” 7” single, recorded in Alan Lomax’s apartment in 1962. The B-Side of this amazing 7” will be a conversation that Alan and Bob had after the recording.
After decades of hard work, Spinal Tap releases their “RSD Scalpers Edition” of The End Continues soundtrack album, limited to 2000 copies. This RSD Black Friday release is sure to please the flippers and hardcore fans who must own everything that Spinal Tap releases. It includes three additional previously unheard tracks, a unique album cover, and a poster and is pressed on 181-gram vinyl!
The RSD version of the last Wicked soundtrack was the buzz of the multiverse with fans demanding it and getting quite vexed when they discovered its limited nature. Ouch! RSD is casting a spell once again but this time we’ve partnered with Crosley to offer two enchanting limited edition Wicked turntables.
-
Elphaba Edition (Green): A nod to the misunderstood Wicked Witch of the West.
-
Glinda Edition (Pink): A dazzling take on the Good Witch’s signature style.
In addition, there will be an exclusive RSD version of Wicked: For Good – The Soundtrack vinyl album, featuring double picture discs, along with an alternate cover and poster.
And speaking of magic, RSD Black Friday’s Billie Eilish Live EP is a special edition 10” record featuring unique live recordings of “Skinny,” “Wildflower,” “Birds of a Feather,” and “L’Amour de Ma Vie” from Billie’s London Palladium show. Chappell Roan places her latest two songs back-to-back for the first time on her RSD Black Friday 7” single. And 2025 Record Store Day Ambassador Post Malone continues to show his love for indie record stores by offering fans a unique album called simply Long Bed, featuring nine tracks that were previously only available digitally. Bruno Mars’ debut EP, It’s Better If You Don’t Understand, is pressed for the first time ever on vinyl featuring the multi-platinum single “Talking to the Moon.” Exclusive to RSD Black Friday, the pressing is limited to 13,000 copies.
Record Store Legend Elton John and 2020 Record Store Day Ambassador Brandi Carlile performed songs from their collaborative Who Believes in Angels? album – and from their own catalogs – for a televised live special and some of those performances make up Who Believes in Angels? Live From The London Palladium, a highlight of the RSD Black Friday List.
Also on the List are sure-to-be-coveted vinyl records by the likes of The Doors, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Joni Mitchell, Brendan Benson, The Rolling Stones, Talking Heads, The Grateful Dead, Prince & The Revolution, Miles Davis, George Harrison, The Flaming Lips, The Notorious B.I.G. and Led Zeppelin, all with something special that music fans can get only at a record store.
