SHAKEDOWN STREET 39TH ANNIVERSARY
Shakedown Street returns to Colorado this winter for a milestone celebration as the beloved Grateful Dead tribute band marks its 39th Anniversary with a special performance at the historic Boulder Theater on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Doors open at 7:00 pm, with music beginning at 8:00 pm.
Shakedown Street has cultivated a devoted fanbase for more than three decades, channeling the expansive catalog, improvisational spirit, and communal heartbeat of the Grateful Dead. Their repertoire spans the Dead’s far-reaching influences—Americana, folk, blues, jazz, rock and roll, and even the experimental edges of the avant-garde.
Within these songs live gamblers and poets, dreamers and fugitives, saints, sinners, and seekers of all kinds. Every show dives into those mythic stories while creating new ones in real time—moments shaped by the synergy between band and audience, awash in color, sound, and swirling improvisation.
Today, Boulder Theater remains one of the band’s most cherished rooms, a home base where the Colorado community gathers to celebrate timeless music and the shared joy of live performance. Shakedown Street continues to bridge generations of Deadheads, keeping the flame vibrant, playful, and soul-renewing.
