Slightly Stoopid are announcing their return to Tamalpais Research Institute (TRI Studios) on Thursday, April 21st, 2016 for a live performance and webcast featuring Slightly Stoopid and special guests including legendary Grateful Dead founding member Bob Weir. TRI Studios, founded by Weir, is a world-class audio, video, streaming venue and recording facility. Slightly Stoopid will be joined by guests Karl Denson (Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Rolling Stones), Angelo Moore (Fishbone, Dr. Madd Vibe), Marlon Asher (Ganja Farmer) and Roger Rivas (Aggrolites). Weir himself will also sit in with the band. The performance will broadcast live at 7 pm PT/ 10 pm ET on all Qello Concerts streaming service allowing fans to watch the concert from their couch, computer, or on the go.

This is the second time that Slightly Stoopid has been invited to play at Weir’s studio. When the band originally performed at the venue in 2011 joined by Weir and friends they were interviewed by actor Tommy Chong. The original installment was recorded and later released as a live DVD and two CD audio set entitled “Live At Roberto’s”. In anticipation for the return of Slightly Stoopid at TRI Studios, Qello Concerts will broadcast the “Live At Roberto’s” original performance on-demand for free all day on April 20th.

This year, actor Peter Dante (The Waterboy, 50 First Dates, Big Daddy) will host the event. Fans are invited to access the live, intimate performance via online streaming partners Mobile Rider and Qello Concerts, the largest collection of full-length concerts and music documentaries streamed on-demand. Qello Concerts is available on a host of Connected TVs including AppleTV, Roku, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, and more, all iOS and Android mobile devices, and on the web at Qello.com. Events at TRI are filmed, directed, mixed and webcast live in HD.

"TRI was kind of built on the principle that it was going to be a fun place to be," says Weir of his multimillion-dollar studio. TRI utilizes advanced acoustic technology from Meyer Sound, enabling musicians to experiment with sound in ways that would be impossible at traditional venues. Weir calls it "the ultimate playpen for a musician."
