Today, alt-rock and jam-band icons Spin Doctors announced a 2027 tour celebrating the 35th anniversary of their debut album, Pocket Full of Kryptonite. The band will perform the 5× Platinum-certified album in its entirety and in sequence, alongside fan favorites spanning their nearly four-decade career. The album’s enduring singles “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong” reached No. 7 and No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100, respectively, with “Two Princes” earning a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals. “It’s hard to believe any of us are old enough to have performed any adult task 35 years ago,” says frontman Chris Barron. “When we made that album, there was a palpable sensation that we were catching something magical. It’s gratifying and fulfilling to have people still loving it and wanting to hear us play something we did all those years ago.”

Formed in New York City in 1988, Spin Doctors broke through with Pocket Full of Kryptonite in 1991. The album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 and established the band as one of the defining acts of the early ’90s alternative-rock era, fueled by beloved hits including “Two Princes,” “Little Miss Can’t Be Wrong,” “Jimmy Olsen’s Blues,” “How Could You Want Him (When You Know You Could Have Me?)” and “What Time Is It?” Pocket Full of Kryptonite would go on to sell more than 10 million copies worldwide and catapult the band to appearances on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Saturday Night Live and Top of the Pops, as well as the cover of Rolling Stone. Last year, Spin Doctors entered a new chapter with Face Full of Cake, their first album in 12 years and debut on Capitol Records. The 12-track collection finds the jam-band veterans revitalized, with the warm, funky sound and abundance of hooks that longtime fans have come to expect. The record also marks the studio debut of bassist Jack Daley, who joins the band’s founding members Chris Barron, Eric Schenkman and Aaron Comess. Recorded in Asbury Park at Daley’s studio, Face Full of Cake captures the effortless chemistry and joy of a band still discovering what it can do together.
Known for their distinctive blend of alt-rock and improvisational interplay, Spin Doctors have built a reputation for dynamic live performances that have continued to evolve throughout their career. Over 38 years, the infectious energy of their live shows has helped establish a lasting connection with generations of fans.
