The husband-and-wife duo Stephen and Jana Mougin are celebrating the release of their single duet, “There’s No Reason To.”
“The blend of Stephen and Jana’s voices on the track gives me goosebumps,” says songwriter Rick Lang. “What makes it really special is having the song written with and recorded by close friends. Lincoln Meyers, one of New England’s premier guitarists, and I wrote the song nearly 20 years ago when he was living near me in southern NH. Then to have dear friends Stephen and Jana cut the tune made it even more special. They poured out their hearts into each and every word. I know folks are going to enjoy this wonderful new single release.”
“While on the hunt for the song that would become our ‘Frozen In Time’ release, we were drawn to this second tune from the co-writing duo of Rick and Lincoln,” reminisces Stephen Mougin. “We ended up tracking both songs in the same day with the same band, but it took us a bit to finally get it finished! I’m really happy with how it turned out. I love how everyone played on this cut. I hope folks dig it!”
“I love the message of this song,” adds Jana Mougin. “‘…It’s better to have loved and lost, than to have never loved at all.’ I hope it inspires a strong commitment to love without fear or apprehension.”
