STS9 will return to Denver for a two-night run at Mission Ballroom on Friday, January 29, and Saturday, January 30, 2027. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 25, at 10 a.m. Fans can also register now for access to the artist presale.

With an ethos rooted in exploration, STS9 has been a sonic pioneer for more than two decades. Using electronic and acoustic means, the instrumental five-piece—Hunter Brown on guitar and programming, Jeffree Lerner on percussion, David Phipps on keyboards, Zach Velmer on drums and Alana Rocklin on bass—channels the primordial and celestial, producing a cutting-edge sound that has forged a path for multiple generations of electronic dance music.
STS9’s innate sense of innovation is grounded by the group’s desire to forge universal connections. Seamlessly integrating its exploratory, improvisation-based music with a fully immersive light show, each performance becomes a celebration of music and community.
With the support of its dedicated fan base, STS9 has performed countless shows nationwide and consistently sells out venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where the band has appeared more than 30 times.
The group has been inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame and has earned headlining slots at festivals across the country. STS9 also continues to build community through charitable efforts with its Just Thanks Foundation and its independent record label, 1320 Records.
Having released 12 albums over the past 28 years, STS9 carried its legacy forward with the 2025 studio album Human Dream. Its 19 tracks represent the band’s current sound, moving through festival-sized electronic tracks, funk and jazz explorations, intricate drum-and-bass passages and expansive instrumentals.
Human Dream marked the beginning of what the band describes as its most prolific recording era to date. With more new music on the horizon, festival appearances and continued touring, STS9 is carrying its music and message into 2027.

Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Mission Ballroom box office. The box office is open Tuesday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., as well as one hour before doors on show nights.
