Sweetwater Music Hall Announces Dead, Jam and Fall 2026 Shows

Mill Valley’s historic Sweetwater Music Hall heads into the heart of fall with a busy calendar stretching from Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers celebrations to psychedelic rock, bluegrass, Americana, reggae, Celtic music and more.

For Grateful Web readers, the run starts in familiar territory on Tuesday, October 13, when Live Dead & Brothers bring an all-star celebration of the Grateful Dead and Allman Brothers to Sweetwater.

The jam-friendly calendar continues with Wolf Jett and Sqwerv on October 17, while younger fans get a taste of another adventurous catalog when The Rock and Roll Playhouse performs the music of Talking Heads and more on October 18.

On November 5, legendary rock photographer Henry Diltz brings Behind The Lens to the venue for a night of photographs and stories from decades of music history.

Then comes a particularly strong stretch for the psychedelic and jam crowd. Moonalice plays a Sunday matinee on November 8, followed by jam band Shakedown Citi on November 15. On November 20, two names tied directly to the original psychedelic era share the bill when The Seeds appear with Love featuring Johnny Echols.

The following night, Freestone Peaches celebrate the music of the Allman Brothers, bringing the calendar back around to the Southern rock side of the Deadhead universe.

There’s plenty beyond the jam world as well, including Shovels & Rope, The Young Dubliners, St. Vincent, The Coffis Brothers performing Tom Petty, Southern Culture on the Skids, The Tannahill Weavers, The Smithereens and an assortment of local benefits, open mics, bluegrass sessions and free shows.

Established in 1972, Sweetwater Music Hall is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization and intimate live music venue at 19 Corte Madera Avenue in Mill Valley. The venue presents music across genres while supporting its mission to cultivate creativity, nurture talent and make the arts accessible to the community.
