Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley has a strong run of summer shows ahead, with plenty for Deadheads, roots music fans, bluegrass pickers, reggae lovers, and Bay Area music regulars. The historic all-ages room, established in 1972, continues to offer an intimate setting for a wide range of live music while operating as a registered 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization.
The Dead-related highlight arrives Thursday, June 25, when MHI & Grateful Guitars present Ten Years After - The Songs Continue, celebrating the songbook of Weir/Wasserman performed on their original instruments with special guests Jackie Greene and Jay Lane. The sold-out show is a fundraiser for Music Heals Int'l and Grateful Guitars.
The lineup also includes recurring Marin Bluegrass Sessions, Sam Bush on July 30, Marlon Asher with Chalice on July 23, Big Brother & The Holding Company on August 1, and a wide mix of Americana, folk, rock, dance nights, tribute shows, and open mics.
