Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley heads into September with a particularly strong stretch for Grateful Dead, jam, psychedelic, bluegrass, and roots fans, alongside a full calendar spanning reggae, folk, rock, funk, tribute acts, community events, and more.
Among the highlights is a Moonalice Sunday matinee on September 6, followed September 10 by David Nelson Band & Friends with Crying Uncle Bluegrass Band for a benefit supporting the After School Bluegrass Club Program.
The month closes with an especially notable run. On September 28, Lukas Nelson & Friends will be joined by Grahame Lesh, Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz, Holly Bowling, John Molo, and Paul Beaubrun as part of Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Out of the Park. The sold-out show will benefit Sweet Relief and Furthur Foundation.
Jam fans can then catch Spafford for two nights, September 29 and 30, followed in early October by AJ Lee & Blue Summit, Old Crow Medicine Show, and more.
Sweetwater Music Hall is located at 19 Corte Madera Avenue in Mill Valley, California. The venue is an all-ages, wheelchair-accessible registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit arts organization. Doors open one hour before showtime unless otherwise noted.
