The Wood Brothers have announced a new run of Fall 2026 tour dates, with the Grammy-nominated modern-roots trio set to play 18 shows across the Southeast, Midwest, Northeast, and Mid-Atlantic in November and December.
Artist pre-sales begin Wednesday, August 12, at 10 a.m. local time, with the general on-sale scheduled for Friday, August 14, at 10 a.m. local time.
The tour supports The Wood Brothers’ latest album, Puff of Smoke, which received critical acclaim from Uncut, Relix, The Bluegrass Situation, DownBeat, and others. MOJO praised its “restless music mix that’s unpredictable and big on swing,” while Rolling Stone noted that from the band's festival performances to Puff of Smoke, The Wood Brothers remain proudly difficult to categorize.
The band is also celebrating the 20th anniversary of its debut album, Ways Not to Lose, which Blue Note Records issued on vinyl for the first time in March.
The Wood Brothers have once again partnered with American Friends of Canadian Conservation, with $1 from every ticket sold going toward The Nature Trust of British Columbia. The funds will support conservation of ecologically rich wetlands and help protect irreplaceable land from development. Every $1 donated through ticket sales will be matched with $2 by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Amelia Day will support the Midwest leg of the tour, while Tyler Ramsey will join The Wood Brothers for the Northeast dates.

In what has already been one of the busiest years in the trio’s 20-year history, The Wood Brothers will close out the summer with nine shows in August, including a two-night stand at The Orange Peel in Asheville, North Carolina, and a performance at The Caverns in Pelham, Tennessee. The band will also appear at Clearwater Jazz Holiday in Florida in October.

Brothers Chris Wood and Oliver Wood initially pursued separate musical careers before coming together as The Wood Brothers. Chris became widely known for his work as one-third of Medeski Martin & Wood, while Oliver’s band King Johnson built a loyal following throughout the South. With the addition of Jano Rix as a permanent third member, The Wood Brothers lineup was solidified.
Two decades after the release of their debut album, Ways Not to Lose, The Wood Brothers have cemented their reputation as freethinking songwriters, road warriors, and community builders. Their catalog has continued to expand while the trio has maintained a relentless touring schedule across North America and Europe.
Songs including “Luckiest Man,” “Postcards From Hell,” and “Happiness Jones” have become longtime fan favorites, helping establish The Wood Brothers as one of the enduring acts in contemporary roots music.
