Veteran Vermont jam quartet Twiddle will ring in the new year with a concert at The State Theater in Portland, ME. The one-night concert event is the band’s first NYE event at the historic southern Maine locale in their eighteen-year history. Ascending NJ-based Dogs in a Pile, currently scheduled to support over twenty dates on Twiddle’s recently announced fall tour, will perform an opening set. New Year’s Eve in New England is a longstanding tradition for Twiddle, as both the band and their adoring fan base share deep roots in the Northeast.
The announcement comes during a busy summer for the seasoned musicians, currently touring in support of their fifth studio album, Every Last Leaf. Singles from the highly anticipated fifteen-track project received grassroots acclaim, collectively garnering over 500,000 streams on Spotify prior to the August 12 release date. Additionally, collaborations with John Popper (Blues Traveler) and Anders Beck (Greensky Bluegrass) received critical praise.
Twiddle’s summer tour wraps up with a string of festival appearances in September, including a stop at Farwell, MI’s Big Fam Music & Arts Festival. Starting in late October, the band will embark on a massive nationwide fall tour, with support from Dogs in a Pile, Neighbor, and Of Good Nature on select dates. Notable events include the band’s annual two-night Frendsgiving celebration at Port Chester, NY’s The Capitol Theatre (November 25 + 26), and a pair of hometown performances at Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground (December 16 + 17).
Initial NYE tickets will be available through an artist pre-sale, running Wednesday, August 24th at 10 AM ET through Thursday, August 25th, at 10 PM ET. The General on sale begins Friday, August 26th at 10:00 AM ET.
