VERTEX Announces Additional Artists

Today, Vertex announces an additional 11 artists to the already incredible lineup for the inaugural music and camping festival in Buena Vista, Colorado on August 5-7, 2016. Emancipator Ensemble, Buckwheat Zydeco, and Dreamer’s Delight join previously announced headliners ODESZA, Alabama Shakes and the Trey Anastasio Band (2 sets). Also added in today’s announcement are eight musical acts that call Colorado home - including The Drunken Hearts, Trout Steak Revival, Zach Heckendorf, Head For The Hills, Evanoff, The RunniKine, Mama Magnolia and Other Worlds.

As a community-minded event that merges diverse musical genres, art, and a variety of experiences and outdoor adventures, Vertex promises an elevated experience that takes the U.S. festival and its culture to new heights – Colorado style.

Just a short trip from the Colorado Front Range, Vertex merges the best of worlds to create a present-day frontier where anything is possible. Diverse music, exhilarating outdoor adventures such as whitewater rafting, hiking, and artful fun and games bring people together for an enduring shared experience.  Nestled in sprawling range land at the foot of the Continental Divide and surrounded by the year-round snowcapped 14,000-foot peaks of the Collegiate Mountain Range, the festival site is known as Cottonwood Meadows, a recently revitalized working ranch located a mile from downtown Buena Vista, Colorado in Chaffee County. Cottonwood Creek runs through the campgrounds and the festival site itself.

Vertex is produced by Madison House Presents (MHP) and AEG Live Rocky Mountains. Boulder, Colorado based MHP is responsible for The Grateful Dead’s recent Fare Thee Well 50th Anniversary Celebration, Mumford & Sons Gentlemen of the Road U.S. Stopovers (including last year’s event in Salida, Colorado), the renowned Electric Forest festival in Rothbury, Michigan, and many more. Colorado’s premier promoter, AEG Live Rocky Mountains, produces events at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, 1STBANK Center, Bluebird Theater, Ogden Theatre, Gothic Theatre, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Pepsi Center and more in Colorado as well as shows in Utah, Wyoming, New Mexico, Arizona and Tennessee.
